Your domain name (e.g. "www.yourname.com") must be purchased by you, the author. Domain names are cheap; they cost about $10/year and can be purchased from a variety of registrar. We recommend Namecheap for its regular discounts and free first-year privacy protection. We're happy to help you register your domain name.

Domain name setup fee: included in all website packages

All websites require a website hosting plan; website hosting is where your website lives on the Internet. If you already have a website, you're already paying for a hosting account somewhere. If this is your first website, you'll need to purchase a website hosting plan for your new site. As finding the right hosting plan can be time consuming and frustrating, we offer managed website hosting:

Website hosting fee: $19/month, billed annually

Your website is finished and online, but what if you need to update it? Some authors only update their website during a new book launch, others have their sites regularly updated with new book reviews, press releases, and event attendances. Based on your needs, we offer one-time updates and monthly maintenance packages.

One-time updates work best for authors who use their website as an online business card. One-time updates usually don't take more than an hour or two.

One-time update fee: $79/hour, billed by hourly increments


Monthly maintenance packages are great for bestselling authors who have a large stream of media attention coming in and constantly are scheduling public events. We'll make sure your website is up-to-date on a weekly basis for a small monthly fee.

What's the best way to let people know you've released a new book, or that you'll be attending a book signing in their city, or just to share something with them? Email!

We'll setup an easy-to-use email newsletter system (MailChimp) for you and integrate its email sign up form on your website so your readers can opt into receiving email notifications.

Newsletter setup fee: $79

What good is a professional website without a professional email address? For a small fee, we'll setup your Gmail account to send and receive emails through your website's domain email address (e.g. yourname@yourwebsite.com).

Custom email address setup fee: $39
